It's No Secret: The Book

“Courage and perseverance have a magical talisman before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into the air”
John Quincy Adams

“Spend and God will send”
Old English Proverb

"Rest satisfied with doing well, and leave others to talk of you as they please”
Pythagoras

“Send your desires away and you will see the mystery. Be filled with desire and you will see only the manifestation”
Tao Te Ching

Somebody should write a book called ‘It’s No Secret: stories and quotes that reveal ‘The Secret’ is not a new innovation”

Something like that.

You can have it full of quotes, like the ones above, perhaps separated into categories like political figures, entertainers, religions, ect. All of the quotes would show how being positive and focused are not new ideas. You could even have quotes from the classic ‘The Power of Positive Thinking’.

You could have stories from the Bible, like that one where the poor woman is told to just go and collect some bottles and there will be enough oil to fill them and sell them.

You could quotes from modern sages like Deepak Chopra, and his Seven Spiritual Laws of Success.

It doesn’t have to be a big endeavor. It could even be one of those little books that are in the check out lines at Borders. It would probably even make it into the Wal-mart. You could have little flip calendars and everything.

Ironically, because Skepticism is popular in America, if the Secret, and the Law of Attraction, are true, this book will fly off the shelves.

“Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation) there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans:
that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too.
All sorts of things occur to help one that would not otherwise have occured. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favourall manner of unforseen incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man would have dreamed would come his way.
I have learned a deep respect for one of Goethe's couplets:
‘Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it! Boldness has genius, magic, and power in it.’”

W.H. Murray from The Scottish Himalayan Expedition
"It's No Secret". A great book idea.
